TVS Motors has launched the special edition of the previous generation Apache RTR 160. TVS has named it Race Edition and this bike will be available in two variants in which the cost of a single disc brake model is priced at Rs 79,715, while the disc brake model in both front and rear is priced at Rs 82,044. The Race Edition comes in white paintjob and with red stripes on the fuel tank, the front mudguard and the rear body panel near the grab-rail. The company has also added a new badge on the fuel tank of the bike.
TVS Motors has raised the price of Apache RTR 160 Race Edition by barely 1,000 rupees from Standard Model RTR 160. Speaking of the engine in the bike, the company has not made any technical changes in the engine of the Special Edition and has been given a single-cylinder engine of 159.7cc which has the capacity to generate 15 bhp power and 13 Nm peak torque. TVS has equipped this engine with a 5-speed gearbox. TVS has launched Apache’s new generation bike RTR 160 4V in India in March 2018, with an initial price of 81,490 rupees.
Being a new generation Apache, this bike has been designed and styled from the old model, as well as the company has also fully updated the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and its engine has become much stronger with more power and torque. Also, the breaks and suspensions of the bike have been updated. In India, the Race Edition Apache RTR 160 will face competition from the Honda CB Hornet 160R, Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ.
