Honda’s new wing, X-Blade 160, here to eat up rivals

Honda’s sports stylish commuter bike X-blade displayed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo launched in the Indian market. The X blade which comes under the premium commuter bike category is priced at Rs 79,000. As the name suggests, the X-Blade is razor sharp design. The X-blade is manufactured on the same platform of CB Unicorn 160 and CB Hornet 160R.
Compared to the price of CB Hornet, X-Blade is priced lower than Rs 4,000 worth of CB Hornet’s. This is the fourth model in the Honda market this year. Suzuki Gixxer and Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 are the main competitors in the market. X-Blade is designed specifically for the youth, more sporty designs are added for attraction.
Headmaster cluster is completely new design. At first glance it looks like a robotic face. The Headlights is full LED. The new digital instrument cluster displays digital time, gear position, service reminder and hazard light. The X-Blade’s other features include a 12-litre fuel fuel tank and a sharp LED tail light. The X blade is also the same as the 162 cc single cylinder air cooled engine that will power the CB Hornet 160R model. This engine is equipped with 13.9 bpp power at 8500 rpm and 14.9 Nm torque at 6000 RPM. The gearbox is 5 speed. The link type gear shifter is used in the X-Blade with fast acceleration and high load capability.
Alloywill be 17 inches. The suspension duties are carried out by the telescopic forks at the front end in addition to the monoshock unit at the rear end. The motorcycle is equipped with petal disc brake at the front and drum brake setup at the rear. The X-Blade is available in 5 colour variant, Mat-Marvel Blue Metallic, Matt Frozen Silver Metallic, Pear Spartan Red, Pear Ignus Black and Matt Marshall Green Metallic.
