Hero Launching 250cc HX 250R in India, HX250R 31PS 6-Speed Bike

Finally Hero is coming with an ultimate 250 cc sports bike,HX 250R for Indian bikers. Hero HX250R will have a 249 cc four-stroke single cylinder DOHC engine. This new fuel injected engine can churn out a power of 31PS.

Bike will have a six speed transmission system. It can reach from 0 to 60 in under 3 sec. Hero’s current top model ZMR can only reach 0-60 in 3.6 secs! Instead of oil cooling given in ZMR, Hero uses a liquid cooling system for controlling heat emission from engine.

Bike comes with a 37mm forks and combi brakes where 300mm disc brake is used in front and 220mm disc brakes on back. HX 250R has a similar styling of CBR Fireblade.

Another major feature of bike is that exhaust is under the seats! This 250cc monster will have a mono shock suspension which is five-step adjustable. ABS is given as an option. Those who want ABS can order for HX 250R ABS model.

Rear(140 section 17 incher) and front(110 section 17 incher) tyres are tubeless. Fuel tank can hold 12.9 liters of petrol. HX250R weighs only 139kgs and has a 145mm ground clearance. Bike will be launched on either March or April.
